451's Client Testimonials

We are proud of our association with some of Queensland's most prestigious organisations and have received an extensive number of personalised testimonials outlining the quality of our work. Below are a selection of some of our most recent endorsements:

“Heritage Bank developed a Strategic Plan in 2016 to transform the organisation, making it more member-centric and providing a solid growth path forward. A key requirement to improving member services was a material improvement in the ICT function, and agreement to a Technology Roadmap for the coming years. We engaged 451 Consulting to undertake an ICT Review and to develop a Technology Roadmap, as well as undertake a PMO Review, acknowledging the importance of both these functions going forward. Following endorsement by the Board, we engaged 451 to fast-track the implementation of the ICT Review Business Improvement Opportunities over a six month period (to December 2016).

451 have demonstrated they understand our industry, are trustworthy, and they have been able to uplift our ICT service quality, IT staff capability and process maturity.

Peter Lock, CEO, Heritage Bank

The announcement to introduce CHOICE of FUND required Sunsuper to draw upon external assistance to identify, assemble, and deliver a program of work within very tight and absolute timeframes. 451 Consulting had been recommended to us. We worked with 451’s highly experienced consultants who brought a good balance between frameworks and pragmatic advice. They provided a fit-for-purpose solution, and helped us challenge all assumptions.  The outcome was a program of work that was achievable and low risk. We met all our objectives and are well positioned to compete in a new environment. 451 have provided a residual capability within Sunsuper so we are better placed in undertaking future change programs.”

Teifi Whatley, Executive General Manager - Customer & Technology, Sunsuper

NTI have leveraged from the capability of 451 for a few years now.  The work they have done with us has ranged from conducting a Post Implementation Review of one of our important technology developments, to doing an operational review and the subsequent planning and support of initiatives that followed on from that review.  These initiatives have helped consolidate our position in the market place and better partner with our customers.  More recently 451 have assisted us in the revision of the NTI five-year strategy.  In each of these engagements we have always found 451 consultants act with integrity and have added value to our business."

451 Consulting has partnered with us over the last couple of years, assisting with strategy, business transformation, structural review, performance measurement, organisational change and building internal capability. I trust their advice and value their local government knowledge and experience. The company has the ability to quickly understand and deliver on the scope of our projects and its staff have been a pleasure to deal with."

“451 Consulting are a “safe set of hands” as they understand Local Government, our complexities and sensitivities. 451 have partnered with Ipswich City Council since 2008 assisting us to continue to meet the needs of our rapidly growing population. I trust their Advice and value their pragmatic Methodologies and ability to Deliver. 451 have delivered a dozen key engagements including an Enterprise Review that identified a range of potential Operating Models that raised customer service and internal efficiency, and Council were able to select the best option for us. This has assisted us to optimise our structure and key processes to the benefit of the community.  I am confident the work performed by 451 Consulting represented best practice and it has provided a strategic blueprint for the coming years. We continue to partner with 451 Consulting in a number of areas to assist us in delivering transformational change. It is refreshing to partner with a consulting firm who cares about our people and community outcomes.”

Jim Lindsay, CEO, Ipswich City Council

“Approximately two years after the State Government transitioned ownership and operation of Water from Local Government to State Government, residents of Gold Coast were left with rapidly increasing water costs and a less reliable water service. Accordingly, Gold Coast City Council, responding to the needs of its community, gained government approval to re-establish the Water business within Council and to disband Allconnex. This multi-disciplinary program covered all aspects of creating a new Water business and transitioning staff to Gold Coast City Council and two other Councils. The major program of work included asset transfer, process and systems, people and positions, and needed to be performed under a strict deadline.

Reporting to the Program Director, 451 held the key roles of Program Manager and also Lead Organisational Change Manager throughout the program. Additionally, when it was decided that a matching of positions from Allconnex to available positions within Gold Coast City could become contentious, Council appointed 451 as an independent organisation to perform the matching process.  The Program has been very successful thanks in part to the high level of partnership and collaboration between 451 and council staff.”  Mark Harvey, Director Water Reform, Gold Coast City Council."

"451 Consulting was appointed to a number of Ergon Energy panels in early 2004 including Strategic Advice, Business Analysis, Process Analysis, Process Design, Change Management Consultants and Project Management.  Since that time, 451 Consulting people have worked on numerous projects and they have built a solid reputation for achieving outcomes. I am pleased that we have been able to work with a Queensland owned organisation that demonstrates insight, integrity and value.”

Darren Busine, CFO, Ergon Energy

“We contracted  451 Consulting to review the fee structures and governance for the Safety In Mines Testing And Research Station (Simtars).  They were able to pull together the engineering, the finance and the governance aspects in a simple and understandable way.  They were sensitive to our culture and adaptable to our needs within a government environment.  They worked with the key stakeholders in their own language and at their pace to make recommendations with insight.  Richard Ponsonby was very approachable, highly skilled and well organised in his approach to the task in hand.  It is the expressed opinion of management that implementing the recommendations of this review will make a positive difference to the way Simtars operates and help shape the strategic direction of the Department.”
